Its versatility makes it equally valuable for use in prisons, policing, and special schools where managing potentially violent individuals is part of daily training.
With the challenges of training post-Covid, this manikin provides an innovative solution by allowing up to 90% of hold techniques to be practised while maintaining social distancing. This has enabled trainers to complete refresher sessions and return-to-work assessments faster and with minimal person-to-person contact, while still replicating realistic intervention scenarios.
Engineered with a unique arm and hand design, the manikin features articulated, gloved hands that respond at accurate pressure points, enabling a wide range of holds and techniques to be practised safely. At 30kg with anatomically correct weight distribution, it delivers a realistic training challenge while remaining safe to use thanks to its soft body joints that reduce the risk of bruising and pinching.
Built for durability, the PMVA Manikin is part of our standard duty range, capable of withstanding demanding scenarios including being driven over by a 4x4, dropped from height, or partially buried under rubble. A strong webbing loop at the back makes it easy to handle, haul, store, or suspend for drying.
Supplied complete with boots and replaceable overalls, the manikin can be further enhanced with optional extras such as an immobilisation collar for casualty care training or a Shoutbox feature, allowing trainers to record and replay realistic audio commands or distress sounds for added immersion.
